‘Screaming at the sea’ explores our relationship to rage, care, and collective healing. Associate Greta Sharp (they/them) has been discovering ways to release sounds that have been stuck in their body for a long time, and found that the sea is able to hold a cathartic release of rage and grief. Navigating their own difficult relationship to the sea due to previous trauma, and considering the complex and challenging relationship we have as a society to the sea due to pollution, climate change and migration, this workshop creates a space that invites you to join them and (vocal coach) to explore how we can safely, as a group, release sounds and emotions that aren’t able to be expressed in many other spaces.
